Great day out and a fascinating history. The cafe does excellent light lunches and afternoon tea. The views across the rolling Dorset countryside are fantastic.

Quite a large site, with big expanses of regularly cut grass with the remains of the castle providing a dramatic backdrop. Great to wander around or just find a quiet place to sit and ponder.
